Service policies
These policies summarize our general practices. Project-specific terms are detailed in the applicable estimate, Scope of Work or contract.
Estimates, scope and deposits
Initial estimates are free. Final pricing depends on scope, condition and location. Deposits, payment dates and remaining balances will be stated in writing in the Scope of Work, estimate or contract. Additional work requires written approval.
Materials
Clients generally provide materials and must ensure they are available and compatible before work begins. If EL TIPO Contractor LLC is asked to supply materials, cost, deposit and terms will be agreed upon in writing during the consultation or in the Scope of Work. Missing, incorrect or defective materials may cause rescheduling and additional charges.
Payments and returned checks
We accept bank transfers, checks and credit or debit cards. A $35 service fee applies to returned checks. The original balance and applicable fees must be paid using an approved replacement method.
Cancellations and access
Cancellations and rescheduling requests require at least 24 hours’ notice. Less than 24 hours’ notice, missed appointments or failure to provide property access may result in a $50 fee. This appointment policy does not limit any applicable legal right to cancel a home improvement contract.
Weather and rescheduling
When weather affects safety, work quality or access, we will coordinate a new date with the client. No cancellation fee will be charged when EL TIPO Contractor LLC reschedules due to weather conditions.
Photos and warranties
We may take photos to document work and provide reports to the client. Photos will not be used for marketing without appropriate permission. Applicable warranties will be stated in writing in the estimate, Scope of Work or contract.
